Researchers at the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health and the Institute for Clinical Executive Sciences (both ON, Canada) have discovered a trend between individuals with schizophrenia and their rates of mortality. The findings of their longitudinal population-based study were published in the Canadian Medical Association journal. In this study, the researchers recorded all deaths that occurred annually in Ontario, Canada from 1993 to 2012 in individuals aged 15 and over.
