Last year, the UK Dementia Research Institute (UK DRI) was launched: the Institute is a joint £250 million investment from the Medical Research Council (MRC), Alzheimer’s Society and Alzheimer’s Research UK, aiming to boost, connect and revolutionize dementia research in the UK. A year on, the DRI now has a hub at University College London (UK), five further centers across the UK, and plans to expand hugely over the next five years.
