Sleep deprivation: can you catch-up on the weekend?

Sleeping in on the weekend – we all do it, but how beneficial is this and can we really catch up on our sleep deprivation from the week?

According to a recent study published in Current Biology, researchers from the University of Colorado Boulder (CO, USA) indicate that in fact, on some health measures, trying to play catch-up for a few days and then returning to poor sleep habits may make things worse.
