World Alzheimer’s Month 2018

Here at Neuro Central, we celebrated World Alzheimer’s Month again this year! While Alzheimer’s disease is the most prevalent form of dementia, we wanted to take this opportunity to embrace those with every type of dementia diagnosis.

This month we organized an annual fundraising event for our two partnered charities who work hard to support people affected by dementia, as well as those researching in the field: Alzheimer’s Research UK and the Alzheimer’s Society. In addition to this, we also wanted to share stories from those affected and those researching the disease in our #VoicesForDementia campaign, which ran in the week leading up to World Alzheimer’s Day (21 September). We also wanted to open this discussion to the public on what progress and priorities are needed to fight dementia by hosting a Twitter chat with the theme, #TalkDementia.

It’s been a busy month here at Neuro Central but we’re so incredibly thankful to everyone for your support. Be sure to take a look at what we’ve been up to this month below, and don’t forget to follow @Neuro_Central and the #TalkDementia hashtag on Twitter to help us raise awareness!
