SfN Global Connectome 2021: highlights from the Editor

When the Society for Neuroscience (SfN) cancelled their Neuroscience 2020 annual meeting, I was both pleased and disappointed at the same time. Pleased because it was the best decision for them to make but disappointed because this conference is one of the ones that I look forward to most every year. Thus, when SfN announced that they were planning virtual opportunities for early winter 2021, I was absolutely delighted. Fast forward to the future, SfN Global Connectome took place from 11–13 January 2021 and although it didn’t quite reach the 27,700-attendee mark, it still attracted more than 4000 registered users....
