‘oven mitt’ gene may be the key to new drugs for pain management

A new study, carried out at Indiana University (IN, USA), has indicated that a number of genes present in both Drosophila and humans play a role in pain sensation, opening up potential new avenues for novel drug targets for pain management. The findings were published in Cell Reports.
