Could a noninvasive biomarker for Parkinson’s disease lie in EEG data?

A study led by the University of Oregon (OR, USA) has compared unfiltered beta waves obtained from people with Parkinson’s disease and healthy individuals. According to the investigators, the sharpness and specific angles of the brain waves shown in the data from scalp EEGs may be linked to Parkinson’s disease.

The results are available in the online journal eNeuro.
