3D glioblastoma model could shed light on potential treatments

A 3D glioblastoma model has been developed using an agglomeration of human brain cells and biomaterials. The study, which has been published in Science Advances, could potentially help researchers and clinicians to better understand how glioblastoma grows, as well as accelerate the discovery of new drugs to fight it. “We use human brain blood vessel cells, and connect them with all the neurons, pericytes, astrocytes, the major cell types in the human brain.
