AAIC 2021: education expected to decrease global dementia cases by 2050

A forecasted increase in access to education is expected to decrease the global prevalence of dementia by 2050, according to a study presented at the Alzheimer’s Association International Conference (AAIC; 26–30 July 2021, CO, USA). However, this decrease is offset by an increase caused by changes in dementia risk factors.
