Could cannabis-based medicines be used to combat the symptoms of dementia?

Researchers at King’s College London (UK) will be studying the potential of the cannabis-based drug Sativex® to treat behavioral changes associated with dementia. Alzheimer’s Research UK (Cambridge, UK) are investing approximately £300,000 in this pioneering clinical trial that investigates whether the drug is effective against symptoms of agitation and aggression.
