Concept of Mild Behavioral Impairment presented at AAIC 2016

A new condition or disease status, termed Mild Behavioral Impairment (MBI) has been described by researchers from the University of Calgary (AB, Canada) and presented at the ongoing Alzheimer's Association International Conference 2016 (22 – 28th July 2016, ON, Canada). Early findings indicate that the condition may represent a precursor to neurodegeneration and progression to either mild cognitive impairment or dementia. The University of Calgary team define MBI as a syndrome of later-life acquired neuropsychiatric symptoms that persist for at least 6 months.
