September marked World Alzheimer’s Month, where each year the global community comes together to honor those affected by dementia, as well as celebrate the scientists, clinicians, charities and fundraisers working hard to beat this disease. At Neuro Central, we marked this month by organizing a fundraising event, a campaign on #VoicesForDementia, and a Twitter chat (#TalkDementia). In the lead up to World Alzheimer’s Day (21 September), we organized an in-office virtual fundraising event, where we competed against each other in teams to “walk” from London (UK) to Le Mans (France).
