Depression risk not increased by common antihypertensive drugs, study reveals

A research group based at the University of Copenhagen (Denmark) has determined that the most common hypertension medications do not increase the risk of depression, and that some of them even decrease the risk. While depression is common in patients with high blood pressure, heart disease and stroke, the team suggest that this correlation is not related to antihypertensive medications.
