Global, genome-wide glioma study identifies new genetic risk factors

An international consortium of researchers from 14 cancer centers has conducted the largest study to-date searching for genetic markers of glioma. It is estimated that approximately 24,000 people will be diagnosed with malignant brain tumors in the USA in 2017, with 17,000 deaths.
