How important is perampanel for epilepsy treatment?

Data presented at the American Epilepsy Society Annual Meeting (4–8 December 2015, Philadelphia, PA) earlier this week highlighted the range of data now supporting the use of perampanel (Fycompa®) for multiple types of epileptic seizures.
