New links between blood markers of diabetes and Alzheimer’s disease pathology identified

A recently published study from researchers at the University of Eastern Finland has provided new insights into the association between blood markers of diabetes and Alzheimer’s disease pathology among older people at risk of dementia. The study, which has been published in the Journal of Alzheimer’s Disease, suggests a link between Alzheimer’s disease pathology, lower levels of insulin and lower insulin resistance.
