Researchers identify a novel pathway linked to cell death in Alzheimer’s disease

Lead researcher, Salvatore Oddo, of Arizona State University (AZ, USA), and colleagues have identified a new mechanism of cell death in Alzheimer’s disease (AD). These findings may help the development of future therapies targeting cell death within the disease. AD is characterized by a selective neuronal vulnerability resulting in severe neuronal loss and the progressive decline of various domains.
