Call for Papers – Journal of Pain Research: Neuromodulation/neural regeneration and functional restoration

Do you have original research or review papers you wish to publish on neuromodulation, neural regeneration and functional restoration in pain medicine? The Journal of Pain Research invites you to submit your paper to its latest Article Collection entitled ‘Neuromodulation/neural regeneration and functional restoration’.

The field of pain management is experiencing a transformative shift with the advancements in spinal neuromodulation. Over the past decade, progress has accelerated beyond what was achieved in the previous 80 years, as modern technologies begin to directly engage pain pathways rather than merely focusing on hardware. Current devices utilize specialized electrical signals, prompting extensive research into the neuromodulation of sensory nerves. Innovative applications, such as stem cell interventions and the exploration of nociceptive mechanisms in tendons, are also expanding our understanding of neuromodulation.

This Article Collection helps to rediscover what neuromodulation means and how it will be used, as well as understand why this industry is on its way to being the most powerful method to treat chronic pain in modern-day history. It welcomes papers about the following particular topics of interest, including but not limited to:

  • Spinal cord stimulation
  • Peripheral nerve stimulation
  • Future of neuromodulation
