PTSD may be a risk factor for developing dementia

A research group from University College London (UCL; UK) has identified that individuals who have experienced post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) are at increased risk of developing dementia. The authors of the paper, published in the British Journal of Psychiatry, performed a meta-analysis, involving 13 studies conducted around the world, containing data on over 1.5 million people.
